Former Green Beret Paul Bock believes there is something far more sinister behind the entities surrounding prominent UFO researcher Steven Greer—and he says Christians need to pay attention.
During an appearance on the Ninjas Are Butterflies podcast, Bock described several disturbing experiences and claims involving Greer, ultimately pointing to three distinct areas of what he believes could be demonic influence: Greer’s alleged protective “warriors,” the hostile entity Bock says he personally encountered, and the entities associated with Greer’s CE5 contact practices.
Bock, who has investigated unidentified aerial phenomena after serving in U.S. Army Special Forces, stressed that he does not believe Greer is intentionally evil.
“The man has truly good intentions,” Bock said, adding that Christians should be “praying for” Greer rather than simply attacking him.
Still, Bock believes what he encountered points to a much darker spiritual reality.
1. Greer’s alleged protective ‘warriors’
Bock says Greer told members of his team that he was “protected” and that anyone attempting something against him would “be dealt with quickly.” Later, Bock’s director pressed Greer about exactly what that meant.
According to Bock, Greer described entities that allegedly protected him and could be detected by remote viewers and certain scanners.
When Bock later shared an edited version of a supernatural encounter he experienced, he says Greer immediately responded, “Oh, those are the warriors.”
For Bock, however, these alleged protectors were anything but benevolent.
2. The hostile entity Bock says attacked him
While staying at Greer’s property, Bock says he dreamed about an intensely black doorway surrounded by beings. One offered him anything he wanted.
“I reject that in Jesus’ name,” Bock recalled repeatedly declaring.
After waking, Bock says something pressed against his chest and covered his mouth, preventing him from speaking. He struggled until he finally managed to say, “Jesus, go,” at which point he says the pressure immediately lifted.

Bock later described another dream involving a feminine, feline-like entity at Greer’s property. This time, he says he could feel intense hatred emanating from it.
“You can’t touch me. You have no authority over me. I’m bought by the blood of Jesus,” Bock recalled declaring.
3. The entities behind CE5 contact
The third area Bock highlighted involves Greer’s CE5 protocol—“close encounters of the fifth kind”—which is intended to initiate human contact with what practitioners describe as non-human intelligence.
According to Bock’s retelling of Greer’s story, Greer experienced contact with entities early in life. Following a near-death experience, Bock says Greer claimed he was taken aboard a craft where he and multiple entities meditated together. Bock said this experience became connected with the development of CE5.
Intentionally reaching into the unknown spiritual realm is precisely where Christians should recognize the danger.
“You’re popping your head in the spirit world saying, ‘Hey, contact me,’” Bock said. “Something will answer you back.”
He further connected these practices with the biblical prohibitions against divination and other forms of forbidden spiritual contact found in Deuteronomy 18.
“Why are those things that are forbidden what are used for contact protocols?” Bock asked.
Bock’s claims ultimately point to a warning much bigger than Greer himself.
The Bible repeatedly commands believers to exercise spiritual discernment. First John 4:1 tells Christians not to believe every spirit but to “test the spirits” to determine whether they are from God.
That distinction could become increasingly important as fascination with UFOs, UAPs and alleged non-human intelligence moves deeper into mainstream culture.
The question for us is no longer simply, “Are these encounters real?”
It is: What spirit is actually answering?
