Could one of the most shocking moments in modern American politics carry a deeper prophetic significance?
During an appearance on It’s Supernatural! with Sid Roth, #1 New York Times bestselling author and Bible teacher Jonathan Cahn argued that the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt against President Donald Trump bears striking parallels to the biblical consecration of Israel’s priests.
Speaking with Roth, Cahn pointed to the Old Testament ritual described in Leviticus, where priests were consecrated through a ceremonial anointing involving blood placed on the right ear, the right hand and the foot before entering their sacred office.
According to Cahn, the details surrounding Trump’s shooting closely resemble that biblical pattern.
“What happens with the right ear?” Cahn asked during the interview. “It was the right ear… Blood on the right ear… It’s exactly what happens to Trump.”

Cahn also noted that immediately after being struck, Trump reached up with his right hand to touch his wounded ear, drawing another parallel to the priestly consecration ritual.
He further observed that Trump’s shoes were removed while Secret Service agents secured him after the shooting, connecting that detail to the biblical description of priests ministering barefoot before the Lord.
While emphasizing that the biblical ceremony prepared a man for priestly service, Cahn suggested the assassination attempt occurred as Trump stood on the threshold of another office.
“The point of the priesthood… is the man who’s being anointed is a candidate for the office of priesthood,” Cahn said. “Trump is a candidate for the office of [the] presidency.”
Cahn also highlighted the timing of the attack, noting it occurred just days before the Republican National Convention officially nominated Trump as the party’s presidential candidate. He further pointed to what he described as a symbolic “doorway” incorporated into the convention stage backdrop, comparing it to the entrance of the Tabernacle where priests were consecrated.
Another element Cahn finds significant is the timeline itself. He argued that counting from the day of the assassination attempt to Trump’s formal nomination reflects the seven-day consecration period described in Scripture.
Yet for Cahn, the prophetic message extends far beyond one political figure.
When Roth asked what this moment means for America, Cahn said the nation is living within what he believes is a limited spiritual window similar to the days of King Jehu.

“God has given a window for revival,” Cahn said. “Only revival is going to save America.”
He cautioned that political victories alone cannot transform a nation apart from spiritual renewal.
“If we just change the government, we don’t change the people, the people will change the government back,” Cahn said.
Rather than placing ultimate hope in elections, Cahn urged believers to seek God’s presence through repentance, prayer and revival.
As America continues navigating political uncertainty and cultural division, Cahn believes the greatest answer is not found in Washington but in a nationwide turning back to God. The nation’s future ultimately depends on spiritual awakening, not merely political change.
