Sean Feucht believes America’s future will not be secured by politics alone—but by prayer.
Speaking during a recent church service in Pennsylvania, the worship leader and founder of Let Us Worship challenged believers to remember what he described as America’s spiritual foundation, arguing that the nation’s first defining act was not the signing of the Declaration of Independence, but a prayer offered before the First Continental Congress in 1774.
Reading portions of the historic prayer aloud, Feucht noted that America’s founders sought God’s wisdom and protection before the nation had a Constitution, a president or even a flag.
“America had a prayer meeting,” Feucht said, urging Christians to recognize prayer—not political power—as the nation’s greatest source of strength.
Feucht also recounted a July 3 Let Us Worship event in Philadelphia, where his ministry proceeded with an outdoor worship gathering despite widespread event cancellations due to extreme heat.
According to Feucht, while his team prepared for the service, members of the media questioned why the worship event had not been canceled. He recalled his team’s response: “We don’t cancel worship.” He later described how worship music could be heard as Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro concluded a nearby public address.
Throughout the message, Feucht repeatedly emphasized that America has experienced its greatest moments when believers united in prayer despite differences. He recounted how delegates to the First Continental Congress initially disagreed over who should lead the opening prayer before eventually coming together in unity.
According to Feucht, the prayer was subsequently reprinted throughout the colonies and became a rallying point during the Revolutionary era.

The worship leader also pointed to what he believes is fresh evidence of revival sweeping the nation.
Sharing testimonies from recent Let Us Worship gatherings, Feucht described crowds gathering in Baltimore, spontaneous baptisms in a public fountain after attendees requested baptism, and increasing numbers of young people responding to the gospel despite difficult weather conditions.
Drawing from Acts 2, Feucht connected the biblical account of Pentecost with what he believes God is doing today. He encouraged believers to expect the fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy through dreams, visions, prophecy and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit across every generation.
The message concluded with a passionate call for another Great Awakening.
Rather than placing confidence solely in government or national institutions, Feucht urged Christians to become people of prayer who boldly proclaim the gospel regardless of cultural opposition. He argued that the next generation’s greatest inheritance will not be political victories or economic prosperity, but a genuine move of God.
Feucht’s message serves as a reminder that throughout Scripture, God has repeatedly responded when His people humble themselves, seek His face and cry out for revival.
