The Truth Is Coming Out: Glenn Beck Sounds Alarm Over Fauci’s Newly Released Diary

As former White House COVID-19 adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci prepares to testify before Congress once again, newly released journals from the height of the pandemic are reigniting one of the nation’s most divisive debates. And according to broadcaster Glenn Beck, the revelations raise serious questions about transparency, accountability and whether the American people were told the full story.

During a recent broadcast, Beck examined excerpts from more than 1,000 pages of Fauci’s COVID-era journals released by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., ahead of Fauci’s scheduled appearance before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Paul has argued the journals reveal significant differences between Fauci’s private observations and some of his public statements during the pandemic.

One of the most striking entries discussed by Beck dates to Jan. 26, 2020.

According to the journal, Fauci wrote, “Now we know the market was not the source. It was the amplifier,” referring to the Wuhan seafood market that was initially linked to the outbreak. Beck argued the private note appeared to contrast with years of public messaging surrounding the virus’ origins, suggesting Fauci recognized early that the market itself was not where COVID-19 began.

Fox News also reported that Fauci privately took credit for influencing COVID-19 restrictions despite later insisting he never recommended lockdowns.

According to the entries released by Paul, Fauci documented conversations with then-New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and California officials regarding school closures, business restrictions and mitigation measures. Fox News noted those private accounts stand in contrast to later interviews and congressional testimony in which Fauci said he “didn’t recommend locking anything down.”

Beyond pandemic policy, Beck devoted considerable attention to what he described as Fauci’s apparent fascination with his growing celebrity. During the broadcast, he read portions of the journals that referenced frequent media appearances, celebrity interactions and widespread public recognition while COVID-19 deaths continued to rise. Beck argued the entries painted the picture of a public official increasingly aware of his own prominence during one of the darkest periods in modern American history.
Beck further questioned Fauci’s testimony regarding gain-of-function research and predicted lawmakers, particularly Paul, would revisit many of the same questions that have fueled congressional investigations for years. Beck suggested the newly released journals could become a central point of discussion as senators compare Fauci’s private writings with his previous public testimony.

Fauci has not publicly responded in detail to the latest journal excerpts, though major news organizations have confirmed Paul released the journals as part of his committee’s ongoing oversight efforts ahead of Fauci’s testimony.

As Congress prepares to question Fauci once again, those newly released pages are ensuring that the debate over COVID-19—and the decisions made behind closed doors—is far from over.
