@kellykministries I didn't make this video because I was offended. I'm not. Truthfully, when you know God is pleased… You don't care when others aren't. Success isn't measured by applause. It's measured by OBEDIENCE. When you start to understand HOW the enemy attacks believers, it all makes sense. God called us to live BLESSED, abundant lives! To PROSPER in every season! So… What would an enemy want to do? Keep you broke, busted, and disgusted! And how would he do that? By making you believe that what God wants you to have, is wrong to have! When you see someone who loves the Lord and they appear to be "doing well"… Instead of Looking DOWN on THEM, why not look UP to the GOD who blessed them? Because if He did it for them… He can do it for you too! But…. I mean… You gotta BELIEVE that first. And that may be the problem… Someone who is 100% diecieved, will believe 100% that they aren't. If ONLY we had some sort of book that could show us the TRUTH… 😳😏😊 If you wanna check out my book, "Think about THAT for a Minute" you can grab it in the Tiktok Shop! Yep… That made someone mad too… 🥰👊🔥 #fyp #blessed #blessedlife #godisgood #cantstopme ♬ original sound – Kelly K Ministries

Have you ever wondered whether God really wants to bless His people? Maybe we’ve heard someone say Christians should expect hardship but never abundance. Maybe we’ve even felt guilty asking God to provide beyond our basic needs.

Evangelist and bestselling author Kelly K believes many of us have accepted an unbiblical view of God’s blessings, and he says the consequences reach far beyond our bank accounts. When we begin to view God’s provision as something to fear instead of something to steward, we don’t just misunderstand prosperity. We misunderstand the heart of our Father.

In a recent message, Kelly shared his own story of spending years trusting God through financial hardship before watching Him fulfill a promise that once seemed impossible. Along the way, he challenged us to reconsider what biblical prosperity really means, why God blesses His people and how the enemy works to convince us that receiving God’s provision is somehow wrong.

“Truthfully, when you know God is pleased… You don’t care when others aren’t,” Kelly wrote in the video’s description. “Success isn’t measured by applause. It’s measured by OBEDIENCE.”

Obedience comes before God’s provision

Kelly explained that the criticism wasn’t about his doctrine, his teaching or his handling of Scripture. Instead, he said people concluded he had “gotten far from God” because he now enjoys nice restaurants and owns nice things.

“There was a time where I did not have nice things, and I couldn’t take my family to a nice restaurant even if I wanted,” he said.

Long before books were selling or people recognized his ministry, Kelly said God called him to leave the workforce and trust Him completely.

“God said, ‘Kelly leave the workforce. Serve Me full time. Feed My sheep.’ He said, ‘If you do, I will provide for you greater than this world ever could.'”

That promise wasn’t fulfilled overnight.

Kelly recalled selling and pawning possessions just to keep food on the table, gas in the car and bills paid while attending Bible college and serving in full-time ministry.

“The first eight years we lived Sunday to Sunday.”

“I don’t charge for the Gospel, so I didn’t know if I was gonna get $5, $500, $5,000 or a high five.”

Still, he never questioned God’s faithfulness.

“God always provided. He always took care of us… God would always find a way to bring things back too because He’s good. He’s true to His Word.”

Eight years into ministry, Kelly said the Lord gave him an unexpected assignment.

“He tells me, ‘Kelly, write this book.’ Think about that for a minute. So I did just out of obedience. I didn’t expect anything.”

As readers began sharing the book with others, Kelly said everything changed.

“The promise He’d given me eight years before… came true, and He started providing for me better than the world ever had and ever could.”

For Kelly, that’s the lesson many of us miss. God’s provision wasn’t the reward for chasing money. It was the fruit of years spent simply obeying God’s voice.

God’s blessings are meant to build His Kingdom

Kelly believes Scripture doesn’t teach us to fear God’s blessings. Instead, he says we’re called to steward them for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

“Now I’m able to take my wife to a nice dinner. I’m able to have nice things. I’m also able to fund the Kingdom and to sow into ministries and to give to those in need.”

He challenged the idea that prosperity itself is unbiblical.

“Being blessed by God is not optional. It’s a requirement.”

Anticipating criticism, Kelly continued:

“I know what you’re thinking. ‘Oh, is this some prosperity teaching?’ Yeah it is. Well that’s evil? Really? Show me that in the Bible because what I see is that if I meditate on God’s Word day and night I will prosper in every season of my life.”

Kelly argued that many of us reject God’s promises because we’ve confused biblical prosperity with selfish ambition.

“Maybe we’re not seeking to build His Kingdom. Maybe what you want from God is to build your castle. And maybe if God got a hold of your heart and all you wanted was for His Kingdom to come, to build His Kingdom, then He could give you everything.”

He said God blesses us so we can become the hands and feet of Jesus, meeting both spiritual and practical needs.

“You can’t go help somebody else because you don’t even have what you need.”

Kelly believes the real battle is spiritual. He argued that the enemy works to convince Christians that God’s desire to bless His people is somehow wrong.

“When you start to understand HOW the enemy attacks believers, it all makes sense. God called us to live BLESSED, abundant lives! To PROSPER in every season! So… What would an enemy want to do? Keep you broke, busted, and disgusted! And how would he do that? By making you believe that what God wants you to have, is wrong to have!”

Ultimately, Kelly said the issue isn’t whether God can trust us with resources. It’s whether He has our hearts.

“When God has your heart, He can give you anything in the world because He knows you won’t turn the gift into the god.”

Kelly encouraged us to lay aside comparison, jealousy and the pursuit of our own kingdoms, choosing instead to seek the Lord above everything else.

“At any point, you have the ability to say, ‘God, I don’t want anything but You.'”

According to Kelly, that’s when we discover the true purpose of God’s blessings—not to elevate ourselves, but to equip us to advance His Kingdom and reflect the generosity of our Father.
