A growing revival movement sweeping across America is drawing hundreds to salvation, spontaneous baptisms and renewed faith in Jesus Christ as tent gatherings fill with people hungry for hope.
The Jesus Tent Revival movement, recently highlighted by CBN News, has traveled through cities including Dallas, Memphis and Chesapeake, Virginia, preaching a bold Gospel message centered on repentance and freedom in Christ.
“People come in underneath that tent that walked in as an atheist, walked in as Buddhists, walked in as a Muslim,” said Dr. Braden Andersen. “If America’s this hungry, let’s bring them, Jesus.”
The movement began after a powerful 2019 revival event in Kokomo, Indiana, where organizers witnessed lives transformed under the tent. The experience later led Andersen, a primary care physician and evangelist, to sell his medical practice and home in 2022 to take the revival nationwide.
“The thought of being able to impact people with the gospel even in that very moment just seemed so much more important,” Andersen said. “This makes a difference in eternity.”

Crowds have responded in remarkable fashion. Organizers say people are driving for hours and filling services in search of healing, salvation and baptism.
“There’s something about the simplicity and the power of that atmosphere that’s just resonating with America,” Andersen said. “America is hungry. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it this hungry.”
One of the defining marks of the movement has become the massive response to baptism calls, with some events seeing more than 300 baptisms in a single weekend.
“This actually has become quite an incredible problem for us,” Andersen said. “The crowds that will come for baptism are actually beginning before the service.”
Local churches partnering with the revival say the tent setting is reaching people who would never normally attend church.
Pastor Tim Sullivan recalled a nearby resident attending the revival after years of never stepping into church.
“He said, ‘I’ve not been to your building, but I wanted to come to this tent revival,’” Sullivan said. “That night, he was baptized and saved.”
Testimonies of freedom from addiction, hopelessness and brokenness continue pouring in as the revival expands across the United States and into Canada.
“Jesus is hope, and Jesus is peace, and Jesus is power,” Andersen said. “Everybody needs Jesus.”
At a time when much of the culture is marked by fear and confusion, scenes of hundreds publicly surrendering their lives to Christ are encouraging believers across America that God is still moving and hearts are still responding to the Gospel.
