JD Vance Breaks Silence on Donald Trump’s Viral Post Amid Backlash

Vice President JD Vance is weighing in on the controversy of President Donald Trump’s now-deleted post, which the president says was of him dressed as a Red Cross doctor, while most believe it depicted him as Jesus Christ.

In an interview with Fox News’ Brett Baier, Vance stated that he believes what Trump posted was a joke.

“What do you think of this back and forth with the Church?” Baier asked.

“First of all, Brett, I think the president was posting a joke, and of course, he took it down because he recognized that a lot of people weren’t understanding his humor in that case. I think the president of the United States likes to mix it up on social media, and I actually think that’s one of the good things about this president, is he’s not filtered. He doesn’t send everything through a communications professional.”

Vance then discussed Trump’s clash with the Pope which also took off on social media.

“We’re going to have disagreements…I think it’s a good thing actually that the Pope is advocating for the things he cares about, but we’re always going to have disagreements on matters of public policy,” Vance said.

“We can respect the Pope, we certainly have a good relationship with the Vatican, but we’re also going to disagree on substantive questions from time to time,” he continued.

  1. Ridiculous. Not a joke. Not a doctor either. Nothing less than blasphemy. Feel sorry for JD. He’s trying so hard, but eventually he’ll anger DJT and DJT will turn on him like he did Mike Pence. JD will then be expelled and exiled to a political scrapheap forever. Evangelical Christians will likely meet the same fate when they no longer serve DJT’s purposes. This is how it works. So obvious and so sad. Our only hope, purpose and meaning is with the Lord. Nothing and no one else.
