Just when you think things couldn’t get any stranger, they do.
Hence, the new chatbot that allows you to speak to “Jesus,” of course, for a price.
In a new report by the Associated Press in the New York Post, the tech organization Just Like Me has created a chatbot avatar that is supposed to be like Jesus, available via video calls for $1.99 per minute.
The CEO of the company, Chris Breed, stated that “You do feel a little accountable to the AI…They’re your friend. You’ve made an attachment.”
Chilling and creepy, right?
Breed further said that this AI model was trained on the KJV Bible and related sermons. According to the report, a package deal is $49.99 for 45 minutes to be used in the month.
AI Religion Is Expanding—And So Is the Divide
This isn’t happening in a vacuum. The use of artificial intelligence for spiritual purposes is rapidly expanding across multiple religions. From AI-powered Buddhist chatbots offering meditation guidance to Hindu platforms experimenting with digital teachers and automated responses to spiritual questions, the trend is clear: technology is entering sacred territory.
But with that expansion comes a growing divide.

Some believe AI can serve as a helpful tool, aiding learning, reflection and outreach. Others, however, see something far more concerning: the replacement of authentic spiritual encounter with artificial imitation.
As these tools become more advanced, the tension is only increasing. What some call innovation, others see as deception.
Only Jesus Saves—Not Artificial Substitutes
No matter how advanced AI becomes, one truth remains unshaken: salvation does not come through technology.
A chatbot cannot forgive sin. An algorithm cannot redeem a soul. And no digital avatar—no matter how lifelike—can replace a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
Transformation doesn’t happen through a screen. It happens in the secret place, through prayer, through the living and active Word of God, through worship and through time spent in the presence of the Lord. It is there that hearts are changed, minds are renewed, and lives are truly made new.
In a world increasingly filled with artificial voices, the call for believers is to return to the authentic one. Not a programmed response, but the voice of the Good Shepherd. Not a paid subscription, but a relationship that was already paid for on the cross.
In the end, no technology can offer what only Jesus can give: eternal life, true peace and the power to be completely transformed.
