For years, the timing of the rapture has sparked intense debate across the body of Christ.
Now, Bible teacher John Bevere is stepping into the conversation with clarity and conviction.
“I’ve never shared this before,” Bevere said on his podcast as he addressed the question: When does the catching away of the church occur?
“We’re going to talk about the catching away of the church… does it occur prior to the tribulation… or post tribulation?”
Not About Division
Bevere made it clear this issue should not divide believers.
“This is not given for you to argue with fellow Christians,” he said. “My wife and I don’t even see eye to eye on this.”
He shared that his wife holds a post-tribulation view but emphasized unity over disagreement.
We Are Not Appointed to Wrath
At the center of Bevere’s argument is a clear biblical distinction.
“First reason why I believe we will leave before the tribulation begins… we are not appointed to wrath,” he said.
“Tribulation is the wrath of the world against believers… the tribulation is the outpouring of God’s wrath on a sinful world.”
He pointed to Scripture declaring, “God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation.”

A Sobering Reality
Bevere underscored the severity of what Scripture describes during the tribulation.
“All the water on earth is going to be turned to blood,” he said. “There will be terrible storms with hail… 75 pounds.”
“In just the fourth seal… one fourth of all mankind will be killed.”
Then he posed the key question: “Does this sound like the language directed towards His bride?”
A Revelation From Scripture
Bevere also shared a moment of personal breakthrough.
“It took me three solid days,” he said. “I have never heard anybody preach this in my life.”
Pointing to Isaiah 26, he explained that believers are brought into “chambers” before judgment falls.
“These chambers have to be in heaven,” he said. “This shows… the resurrection… will happen before the… indignation is poured out.”
Hope, Not Fear
Ultimately, Bevere said this teaching should lead us to urgency and hope.
“There are people that no matter what God does, they don’t want to be saved,” he said.
For us, this is not about winning arguments or proving timelines. It is about staying ready, staying faithful and making sure no one around us misses what God is offering right now.
The conversation about when He comes will continue. But the call to be ready is already here.
