During a time of deep prayer in January 2020, the Lord gave me this word for the nation of Iran:
For behold, Iran, Iran—I will break your bow. For you have sought to destroy what belongs to Me, and I have awaited with longsuffering. For you have declared death upon My people, and now behold, the cup of your iniquity is full. I will pour you out and bring your regime low. I have indeed heard the cries of those made fatherless and the widows, and I am jealous for them. I have heard the cry of your people, and I will have them. For by My Spirit I will blow upon them. For I am God, and beside Me there is no other. I will establish the throne of David upon which My Son sits. And by the Spirit of Truth I will move. For behold, I come quickly. For the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be glorified.
An Imminent Word for Today
In recent days, the Holy Spirit has been reminding me strongly that this prophetic word is on the threshold of fulfillment. For over four decades, the Iranian regime—under the iron grip of the Ayatollah and its fundamentalist enforcers—has sown death and destruction. Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, it has orchestrated or supported terrorist attacks that killed countless Americans, Israelis and others. Key examples include:
- The 1983 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut, killing over 200 U.S. Marines
- The kidnapping, torture and murder of CIA station chief William Buckley in Beirut via Hezbollah proxies.
- The 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, targeting U.S. service members.
- Funding and arming attacks that killed U.S. personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan during the Global War on Terror.
The regime’s hands are soaked in blood—not only abroad but at home. It has brutally oppressed its own people, especially women (through morality police beatings, arrests, assaults and sexual violence for improper hijab), dissidents and Christians. Thousands have been tortured, imprisoned or executed simply for following Christ or daring to speak against the regime. The Iranian government has repeatedly called for “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” while actively supporting violence against both nations and their citizens—from Oct. 7, 2023, onward through proxies.

These actions stem from demonic principalities and powers gripping the region, fueling a white-hot spiritual war. Yet God is not slack concerning His promises. He hears the cries of the oppressed—widows, orphans, persecuted believers in Iran and those suffering under this regime’s curse against Abraham’s seed through Isaac (Gen. 12:3). Yet you cannot curse what God has blessed, and the Lord Himself will repay.
We now stand at a prophetic turning point. Since late January 2026, the United States has assembled one of the largest naval and air armadas in the Middle East since the 2003 Iraq invasion—two aircraft carrier strike groups (including the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Gerald R. Ford), over a dozen warships, dozens of fighter jets (F-35s, F-15s, etc.), and thousands of troops. This buildup, under President Trump’s administration, comes amid failed nuclear talks, threats of strikes and explicit warnings to Iran to dismantle its nuclear and missile programs or face consequences.
Inside Iran, fresh waves of anti-regime protests—especially student-led demonstrations in Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan and elsewhere—have erupted again in Feb. 2026, following brutal crackdowns on earlier unrest (late 2025–early 2026). The people are crying out for freedom, echoing the very cries God said He has heard.
This is no mere geopolitical coincidence. The prayers of Iranian Christians—who have endured savage persecution for decades—have risen before the throne. The cries of the oppressed have reached heaven. God is moving to bring justice, using even geopolitical instruments to humble the proud and exalt the humble.
What we may witness is not random military posturing, but the hand of the Lord advancing His purposes. He will glorify the name of Jesus Christ, break the bow of those who oppose Him and pour out His Spirit on a people hungry for truth.
Let us pray fervently for Iran: for the regime’s strongholds to crumble, for protection over the faithful remnant, for salvation to sweep the nation and for God’s perfect will to be done—quickly.
The word of The Lord will come to pass.
