Doug Addison, the influential prophetic teacher, author, pastor and founder of InLight Connection, passed away on Jan. 26, 2026, at the age of 66. Known worldwide for his spiritual insight, daily prophetic words, and Spirit Connection ministry, Addison’s passing marks the end of a remarkable era of prophetic ministry and teaching.
In an official statement released by InLight Connection, his family and ministry shared the solemn news of his passing:
Doug went to be with his Savior and Best Friend, Jesus, early this morning, on January 26, 2026, at 12:50 a.m. He died from the devastating effects of a neurologic disorder. He passed peacefully… and while this loss is truly heartbreaking, we also find comfort in knowing that Doug is now fully restored—dancing on streets of gold, in the presence of the Lord, whom he loved so dearly.
Over the decades, Addison wrote books, hosted prophetic teachings and reached audiences across the globe through his Spirit Connection podcasts and blogs.
Doug was a gifted Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher who equipped and encouraged thousands to step into their God-given destiny… He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
The statement from InLight Connection also noted that no memorial service has yet been scheduled, and details will be shared as they become available. The ministry said the focus for now remains on supporting Doug’s wife of 30 years, Linda Addison, and their family during this difficult season.
