As we are about to enter a new year, many people are wondering what God is speaking through His prophetic voices. In a powerful revival service, Jenny Weaver shared that 2026 could be a fruitful year for the body of Christ—so long as we obey God’s marching orders.

Weaver pointed out that while in past seasons people would point to a particular year being about open doors, exposure or other topics, but that 2026 will be different.

“This is the year of the assignment,” Weaver says. “There [has] already been a year of purifying, we’ve had years of shakings and we’ve had years of the open door…we’ve had all of that, and I heard the Lord say, ‘Now I’m calling forward the assignments. I’m highlighting the assignments in this season.'”

Looking at Luke 9, Weaver points out that God tests people to see whether they really mean it when they say they will follow Him. Following Jesus is not about being in the limelight. Instead, it is a call to surrender your life, your will and your desires for His.

“Don’t think that following God is going to make you famous,” she says. “We have a lot of entitlement in the Body of Christ, and the best way to fix entitlement is to get a little piece of humble pie.”

She further pointed out that this is the time for God to set our priorities straight and in line with the Lord’s ultimate will.

“When you get an assignment, it is your job, your responsibility and your Kingdom duty to go after it like your life depends on it. When you give God a yes, you don’t get to take a break two months later because things got hard. When God has given you an assignment, you cannot let the gates of hell come against you and begin to prevail against you. You have to stand firm in the call of God on your life, and say, ‘I’m going no matter what it takes by any means.‘”

As we stand on the threshold of 2026, Weaver’s message serves as both a sobering warning and a rallying cry. This is not a year for spectators, shortcuts or half-hearted obedience, but a defining season where assignments will demand perseverance, humility and unwavering resolve. Those who answer with a wholehearted “yes” may not find applause—but they will find fruit, authority and the unmistakable mark of having stood firm in the will of God when it mattered most.
