Unlock Heaven’s Authority: How to Prophetically Shatter Darkness and Release Miracles

Words are powerful. Words have impact. Luke 4:32 says, “And they were astonished at [Jesus’] doctrine: for his word was with power.” Jesus spoke with power. His words were authoritative. The people were astonished. They were amazed at His words. Words can astonish when spoken with power. Words are containers for the power of God. Words are conduits of power.

Creation began with words. God spoke the words, and there was light. God used words to create the earth and everything in it (Gen. 1).

Words are the tools of preachers, teachers, statesmen, presidents, prime ministers, governors, singers, activists, generals, coaches and leaders. Words have been the foundation of important speeches throughout history.

Words give vision. Words are used by visionaries. Leaders use words to cast vision. We release vision through words, and we receive vision through words.

What Words Bring

Words bring wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. We explain ideas through words. We understand subjects through words. Many subjects have words that are used for that subject alone. We learn through words. We are taught through words. We read words. We counsel and give advice with words. Words are a conduit for wisdom. Wisdom is transferred from generation to generation with words. Words are the instruments of the wise.

Words bring salvation. Words are used to preach the gospel. Words bring glad tidings and good news. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

Words bring hope. Words create expectation. Words give us hope for the future. Words uplift the hopeless.

Words bring joy. Good news brings joy. Words can affect our happiness. “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Neh. 8:10). Joyful words can strengthen us.

Words bring faith (Rom. 10:17). We believe what is spoken.

Words bring truth. Truth is spoken and received through words (Eph. 4:15).

Words bring peace. Words are what peacemakers use to bring peace. Peace treaties are words that are signed and agreed upon.

Words bring correction. Words bring adjustment to our lives.

Words bring change and transformation. Words change things. Words turn things around.

Words bring revelation. Words reveal mysteries and help us understand parables (Prov. 1:6).

Words bring healing and deliverance. Jesus cast out the spirits and healed all who were sick with His words (Matt. 8:16).

Words bring comfort. Words comfort and restore the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18).

Words bring confirmation. Judas and Silas confirmed the churches with many words (Acts 15:32).

Decide, Decree and Declare

God hears our words: “And the Lord heard the voice of your words” (Deut. 1:34). Psalm 139:4 says, “For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether.” This verse is a powerful reminder of God’s all-encompassing knowledge, extending to the words we form in our minds before they are even spoken. It reveals the depth of His intimacy with us and carries a significant ethical implication for the way we communicate. Knowing that God hears and understands every word should inspire us to use speech with greater care, intention, and integrity.

But I have a word for you in this season that will stretch and challenge you: God has given you a unique voice too. God has called you to speak and release specific words into the earth—words that will break things open in people’s lives the enemy tried to say were unbreakable. You have a sound that, just like your favorite preacher’s, heaven responds to. You have a unique voice that, when used, brings heaven to earth. When you contribute to the world and humanity according to God’s will—by finding your purpose and walking in it—you will leave a blessing and legacy on the earth.

It is time for heaven’s voice to be heard on the earth. Let this be a new season when the muzzles come off and we feel the Word of the Lord burning within us—like fire shut up in our bones.

Some things will not happen until you open your mouth. Your voice brings heaven to earth. When you open your mouth, heaven speaks. When you prophesy, heaven speaks.

When you speak by the Spirit of God, heaven speaks. No matter how much it seems like hell is raging, when you open your mouth, heaven comes.

When you open your mouth, the sick are healed, and demons flee. Miracles and finances are released. When you speak, situations are turned around. Your voice can break every yoke and every barrier.
