Prophetic voices are sounding an alarm over a convergence of technology and biblical prophecy that many believe could signal the rise of the end-times beast system. Randy Kay, a Christian prophetic teacher, warns that artificial intelligence, quantum computing, global surveillance and transhumanist technology are aligning in ways that echo the warnings of Revelation.
“Two thousand years ago, the apostle John received a vision of an image that could speak, think and enforce worship,” Kay explained in a recent teaching. “For centuries, scholars wondered how such an image could come to life. Today, they’re not wondering anymore.”

According to Randy Kay, Revelation 13:14-15, which speaks of the beast and the image of the beast, describes an entity given “breath,” the same word used when God breathed life into Adam. “The critical difference is that this isn’t biological life—it’s artificial animation,” he said. “It’s something manmade that appears to live, thinks and enforces allegiance. For two millennia, this prophecy seemed symbolic. Today, we call it artificial intelligence.”

Kay emphasized the rapid growth of AI technologies, including autonomous systems capable of decision-making, predictive neural networks and sophisticated computer vision. He said developers have admitted that the only barrier preventing AI from controlling global commerce is the financial infrastructure. “The image that speaks, check. The image that makes life-and-death decisions, check. The image that controls buying and selling… almost there,” he noted.
Beyond AI, Kay warned of technologies that could connect humans to dimensions beyond the physical. CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, conducts high-energy particle collisions to study matter and antimatter. Still, some scientists have openly discussed the possibility of opening “portals” or exploring other dimensions. “Could CERN’s experiments inadvertently be opening doors that God sealed for a reason?” he asked.
Quantum computing further complicates the picture. Unlike traditional binary computers, quantum machines operate in superposition, allowing them to process vast amounts of data simultaneously. Some executives in the field claim their systems can access information from other dimensions. Kay cautioned, “Combine quantum computing with AI, and you get a super-intelligent system operating according to logic that transcends human comprehension. This is not science fiction—this is being developed now.”
The prophetic implications extend to global financial control and the mark of the beast. Revelation 13:16-17 states that no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark. Kay highlighted the rise of central bank digital currencies, biometric identification, social credit systems and neural interfaces as technologies that could enable such a system. “The infrastructure exists. Cash is freedom, and that’s why it’s being eliminated,” he said. He pointed to real-world examples, such as bank account freezes during the trucker protests in Canada, as previews of what could come.
Kay also addressed the transhumanist movement, which seeks to merge humans with machines and transcend biological limits. “The lie is the same as in Eden: ‘You will be like God,’” he said. “At what point are we no longer made in God’s image? At what point does taking the mark become an unforgivable sin? It is not just about an action; it is a fundamental change of essence.”

Despite the warning, Kay emphasized hope for believers. “All of this—the AI, the quantum computers, the surveillance, the beast system—is temporary. It ends when Jesus Christ returns,” he said. “The beast system will have its moment, but eternity belongs to God. Redemption is near for those who are watchful and faithful.”
The signs of the end times are converging faster than ever, from Israel’s rebirth to the unprecedented global deployment of surveillance, digital finance and advanced technology.
“The stage is set, the players are taking their positions and the King is coming,” Kay concluded. “This is not speculation. This is reality. Time is shorter than we think.”
