As the United States endures a historic government shutdown, Amanda Grace is raising the alarm about spiritual patterns echoing across time and nations. Speaking from a prophetic perspective, Grace points out how the events surrounding the shutdown are not merely political, but part of a larger spiritual narrative, with parallels to both past crises and biblical warnings.
“The current government shutdown… is a repeat of 2020’s pattern during COVID,” she explains. In 2020, President Trump faced an economic shutdown, influenced by global powers, particularly China. Now, five years later, while Trump holds the presidency again, the government is in a shutdown. “Once again, we have a shutdown in this nation with Trump as the president and China is directly involved,” Grace warns.

Prophetic insight links these political events to the Chinese calendar. The year 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, referred to as a “red horse” in scripture, drawing a symbolic line to Revelation 6:4, where the red horse represents conflict and war.
This current spiritual battle is further framed through the lens of Jewish tradition and Purim, the festival commemorating deliverance from the evil Haman in the Book of Esther. “Purim 2025 began Mar. 13, marked by a blood moon… protesters operating in the spirit of Amalek stormed Trump Tower and attempted to shut it down,” Grace recounts. Seven months later, on Oct. 1, 2025—Yom Kippur—the federal government itself shut down, reinforcing the spiritual significance of this period.
Looking ahead, Grace’s message notes that Purim 2026, beginning Mar. 2, will also be flanked by a blood moon, creating a window of spiritual significance around Trump’s first year back in office. “Trump’s first year of his second term is flanked by blood moons on Purim… two Purim, then in 2027, a Jewish leap year, which is double Purim,” Grace emphasizes. In biblical context, Purim is a time of divine reversal, when plots against God’s people are overturned through prayer, fasting, and righteous action.
The prophetic call is urgent: national leaders must not only navigate political complexities but also engage in spiritual warfare. “I strongly suggest you call for a national day of prayer and repentance and the leaders of Congress publicly gather on that day for prayer and repentance,” she implores.

As the nation watches the shutdown unfold, the convergence of red horses, blood moons and the spirit of Amalek serves as both a warning and an invitation: to discern, pray and intercede so that the forces seeking to destabilize the country may be countered by divine intervention.
