- Witchcraft isn’t harmless. The Bible calls it detestable to God and it remains spiritually dangerous today no matter how culture repackages it.
- Halloween glorifies what God condemns. Many of the behaviors celebrated such as idolatry, immorality and drunkenness mirror the “acts of the flesh” that Scripture warns against.
- The occult is being normalized. Media, movies and social platforms glamorize witchcraft making it appealing to young people and desensitizing them to spiritual darkness.
- Satan counterfeits the holy with the unholy. Where God uses blood to redeem the enemy uses it to corrupt. Occult rituals invert divine truth for destruction.
- Even “safe” alternatives can miss the mark. Rebranding Halloween celebrations with church-friendly themes does not change the spiritual foundation of the holiday.
- Children are the target. Cultural traditions that seem innocent like costumes and candy can subtly draw them into curiosity about the occult.
- Discernment is essential. The enemy thrives where believers are uninformed. Knowing what Scripture says about witchcraft and deception protects hearts and homes.
