Recently, Tucker Carlson teamed up with an Eastern Orthodox nun to broadcast a provocative message to millions, claiming that Israel is harming Christians, that Hamas is “good” and that traditional Christian eschatology is false. In a passionate response video, Jonathan Cahn provided biblical clarity and historical context for believers.

On Carlson’s broadcast, the nun, Mother Agapia Stephanopoulos, made sweeping claims, including that Israel is “actually causing the Christian population in Israel to decrease.” According to Cahn, these assertions are completely inverted. “First of all, it’s decreasing all over the Middle East. Why is that? There’s no Israel in Syria. There’s no Israel in Saudi Arabia. There’s no Israel in Iraq. But in these places, Christians are being persecuted, coerced, subjected… attacked, and killed by Muslim rule,” he explains. In contrast, the Christian population in Israel is actually increasing, even under Israeli sovereignty.

Carlson and Stephanopoulos also attempted to diminish the threat of Hamas. The nun portrayed Hamas as a “resistance” and even suggested they were “wonderful people.” Cahn responded sharply: “The Bible says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.’ The truth is Hamas is evil, evil, evil… They massacred innocent fathers, mothers and children.”

Stephanopoulos’ most startling claims extended to eschatology. The nun ridiculed the rapture and the thousand-year reign of Messiah Jesus, labeling them heresy. Cahn counters with Scripture: “The Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, the voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God. The dead in Messiah will rise first. After that, we who are still alive… will be caught up together with them in the clouds.” On the millennium, he points to Revelation 20:4-6: “They came to life. They reigned with Messiah for a thousand years… They will be priests of God and of Messiah, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” Cahn makes it clear: “What part of a thousand years do you not understand?”

Jonathan Cahn’s response serves as both correction and call to clarity. As he warns, “To condemn what the Bible clearly says as heresy is itself heresy… The Word of God is the Word of God.”

For believers, standing with Israel, upholding the truth of Scripture and recognizing the reality of spiritual and geopolitical threats is essential in these turbulent times.
