The assassination of Charlie Kirk has sent shockwaves through America, prompting questions about why it happened and what it signifies for the country. Best-selling author, Jonathan Cahn, delivered a new prophetic message regarding Kirk’s assassination and what this means for the future of America.
In this latest video, Cahn emphasized the significance of the location where Kirk died: Utah Valley University, in Orem, Utah. “Could the place in which it happened be significant?” he asked. Cahn explains that the word “Orem,” derived from Old English and Norse, translates to “serpent” or “dragon,” linking it to the great red dragon described in Revelation 12. “The great dragon was thrown down to the earth, the serpent of old, who was called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world,” Cahn cited. He sees the shooting as an act of the dragon, a spiritual enemy waging war against believers.

Cahn discusses how Charlie Kirk himself was also a symbolic figure in this spiritual conflict. Noting that “Kirk means the church,” Cahn said, “The church came to the place of the dragon, and the dragon struck the church.” Kirk was a staunch defender of the gospel, Israel and the next generation, making him a prime target for spiritual forces seeking to undermine God’s purposes in America.
Comparing Kirk’s death to the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, Cahn suggests divine intention behind both events. “Why did God save Trump from an assassination attempt? Because God had a purpose. And for that same reason, he took Charlie Kirk,” he said. He explained that while Trump’s life was preserved for political and prophetic missions, Kirk’s death serves a spiritual purpose: to awaken the church and spark revival.
Cahn stressed that what happened is not simply about tragedy: It is about a war between spiritual revival and spiritual stagnation. Kirk had been promoting revival in America, posting online on Sept. 7, just before an online writer publicly shared how she had paid witches to place curses on Kirk. “There was a message. [Kirk’s] message was revival. He was pointing to the signs of revival in America.”
Cahn then urged believers to respond boldly: “When the enemy strikes in this world or in your life, you don’t stop. When he tries to shut you up, you don’t be quiet. You shout louder. When he tries to make you give up, that’s your sign. Whatever you do, don’t give up.” He frames Kirk’s death as a prophetic wake-up call for America, a moment for renewed devotion and action to secure the spiritual future of the nation.

Ultimately, Cahn reminds Christians that God’s plans prevail over evil. “Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it,” he said. Kirk’s life and death, Cahn insists, are part of a divine strategy to inspire revival and equip the next generation to stand firm in faith.
Charlie Kirk’s assassination, as Cahn notes, is not the final word. It is both a warning and a challenge: a call for believers to rise, embrace their mission and ensure that the light of God continues to shine over America.
