As Acutis’ mother, Antonia Salzano described, that after his death, people who were gravely ill began to pray to him to be healed. Prior to Pope Francis’ death, he gave Acutis the credit for two miracles, one for a boy that was suffering from a congenital disease that impacted his pancreas and the other for a student who had a brain bleed which led to their mother praying at the tomb of Acutis.

Salzano credits her son’s faith for also bringing her to God.

Speaking with Fox News, Salzano says that “Carlo, for me, was a savior…He was a mystic.”

Salzano has told the outlet that he visited her in a dream and prophetically declared that he would be canonized someday as a saint. She also said that after Acutis died she tried to have more children, but could not. However, Salzano claims that her son visited her in a dream once again and told her, “Listen, you will become, again, a mother. Don’t worry.” A month after this, Salzano says she became pregnant.
