According to Fox News, a 3,800-year-old discovery in the Egyptian desert was just made, giving us direct proof of Moses’ existence. As the site noted, “two-etchings were found at Serabit el-Khadim, an ancient turquoise mining site in the Sinai Desert.” This is the location where Jewish workers were found in the Middle Bronze Age. It is believed that these artifacts are from the time period between 1800 and 1600 B.C.

The writing on these inscriptions says “Zot M’Moshe” and “Ne’um Moshe,” which means “This is from Moses,” and “Declaration of Moses.” Further, they used the word “El,” which is linked to descriptions of God in the Old Testament in connection with Abraham.

Epigraphist, Michael S. Bar-Ron told Fox that these inscriptions also pointed to a rebuke of those who followed paganism. If the inscriptions are verified by scholars, they would be the “…earliest written mention of Moses outside of the Bible.”
