As Fox pointed out, this news was shared with the world by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA).
“The most impressive findings discovered at the site are large flint cores, from which extremely sharp, uniformly shaped blades were produced,” the IAA wrote. “The blades themselves were used as knives for cutting and butchering, and as harvesting tools, like sickle blades.”

The factory was discovered within an archaeological site that has hundreds of underground areas that are believed to have been used for storage and craft production.
The IAA further noted that this discovery is “…clear evidence that already at the onset of the Bronze Age, the local society here was organized and complex…”
It is also believed that these newly discovered tools correlate with the Canaanite time period and culture of when the father of the Christian and Jewish faiths, Abraham, lived.
