In 1 Corinthians 14:1 (ESV) the apostle Paul tells the church to “pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that [they] may prophesy.” The prophetic ministry is vital for the body of Christ and the world in this hour, so we must be open to it and learn to navigate the waters of this glorious gift.
Some believers pull away from prophecy because of the many abuses of false prophecy and the plethora of counterfeit prophets out there. Yet this ministry is biblical, still very much alive and active. If we learn more about it, we can be confident in God’s heart and see the fullness of Christ manifest in His body.
