Independence Day is upon us. It is a day we celebrate our liberation and freedom.
But are we in a time that our very liberty is at stake? The Revolutionary War was a great victory at a high cost. Is America free, or are we still in a war? The war we are facing now looks different, but it could still cost us our freedom.
Men sacrificed their lives, were stricken with disease, taken prisoner and injured. They fought for our liberation and freedom. Are our current liberties at stake? America is changing. Wars are still being fought through control, racism, power struggles of leaders, government sanctions and liberal agendas. We are in a war, but a different kind of war. Still, its effects could be similar. Our freedom is at stake.
The war was seven long years. They persevered, fought and sacrificed. How are we trying to win the war we are in? Are we trying to win the war that is currently raging across America against our biblical beliefs? They went to war for seven years, and often when I train people to pray, they struggle to pray for the same subject for seven minutes.
Are we trying to win the war through prayer and action, or are we standing around like innocent bystanders? Our freedom is at stake. Our freedom to go and travel as we’d like, speak openly and honestly about Jesus and have control over our own lives instead of elected officials controlling us is at stake.
Are you fighting the war we are now in with spiritual tools? When we partner with the Holy Spirit (see my new book, Prophetic Spiritual Warfare), He will give us prayer strategies and tactics to take down the enemy and release freedom and liberation across the earth.
This war cannot be fought alone. We must activate the power source within us, the Holy Spirit. Jesus said He would leave us a Helper and Comforter (see John 14:26). When we partner with the Holy Spirit, we can win the war that is raging against us. As believers, we must get up and fight. We must fight through prayer and the power of God’s word.
Our heavenly Father has given us spiritual tools to use in the natural realm. But those tools can’t be wielded alone. They need someone to use them. We need to release the armor and tools God has given us across the earth.
You have a voice even when your body is failing, weak and tired. I think retirees and nursing home residents could be our greatest intercessors because they still have a voice. People have a voice that can be used in prayer! Speak out, declare and pray out loud against the attacks that are coming against our freedom and liberation.
Speak out while you still can. Pray aloud and bind and restrict demonic forces operating in and through people. We are in a war. One that can be fought with the power of our words and the artillery that the Spirit has given us through prayer. Pray before it’s too late and we are persecuted for our faith.
Jesus came to give us liberation! Let’s hold on to that liberation by enlisting in the war as soldiers of the kingdom of God. Let’s move up and forward to continue walking in freedom and liberty! {eoa}
