Director of Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Avner Shalev (R), Chairman of the Yad Vashem Council Rabbi Israel Meir Lau (2nd L) and Canada’s Foreign Minister John Baird (L) look as Israel’s Education Minister Gideon Saar cuts the ribbon during an inauguration ceremony for a new wing at Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies in Jerusalem on Monday. European Jewish Press reports that the new wing adds 45,000 square feet to the school and “provides state-of-the-art facilities to meet the ever-expanding demand for educational seminars for teachers and opinion-shapers from Israel and around the globe.”
