Prayer has officially made its way back into the White House.
Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Scott Turner, gave a powerful prayer over Congress and President Donald Trump.

“Father in heaven, we thank You. We’re so grateful that we have this time to stand in Your presence,” Turner began. “Father God, we are at the White House. Father God, the most powerful place in the land. And Father, we thank You that President Trump allows us to take this time and go before the throne of heaven and give You reverence.”
Turner also praised God as the “King of Kings” and the “Lord of Lords,” thanking Him for the opportunity to serve the American people. He claimed Jesus to be Lord over the hearts of those at the White House, praying for God to be the light in our darkest moments. He prayed for the resilient people of Texas who have gone through tragedy and for the “Big Beautiful Bill” to be a blessing to the American people. Turner then switched his attention to blessing the president.

“I pray that you will bless our president,” Turner prayed. “God, everything he puts hands to, we pray You will bless it. Strengthen him. Father, give him wisdom like never before. Open his eyes to see like he’s never seen, and his ears to hear Your sweet, small voice in the midnight hour. Lord, let him know that it is well with his soul. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

Secretary Scott Turner’s heartfelt intercession not only honored the name of Jesus but also affirmed the power of prayer in shaping the nation’s future.
