The Catholic Church is begging the Pope for help as spiritual warfare activity continues to rise in our society.
According to the Mirror, some of the top Catholic exorcists spoke to Pope Leo, urging him to bring on more priests capable of performing exorcisms as Satanism and occult practices continue to increase.
These officials, part of the International Association of Exorcists (AIE), met with the Pope, who pointed out reports of these growing dark practices. They believe that each Catholic diocese worldwide needs to have “at least one qualified exorcist” to address these issues.
The hope, as The Mirror records, is that they would also have more training take place for new bishops to understand these spiritual battles.
As the outlet noted, the AIE vice president, Father Francesco Bamonte, warned that with a culture continually rising in darkness, people right now are being driven toward “inappropriate solutions.”
In a world increasingly fascinated with darkness, the Catholic Church now finds itself confronting a truth the Bible has declared all along: spiritual warfare is not symbolic—it is real.
The apostle Paul warned in Ephesians 6:12 that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world.”
What today’s exorcists are witnessing is not a new phenomenon, but a resurfacing of an ancient battle that has never ceased.
As occult practices gain mainstream acceptance and desperation drives people toward counterfeit spiritual answers, the need for discernment, authority and the power of Christ has never been more urgent. Scripture makes clear that where darkness increases, the light must shine even brighter (John 1:5).
This is not merely a call for more trained clergy—it is a wake-up call to return to holiness, prayer and the authority given through Jesus Christ.
