In a world increasingly drawn to spirituality without truth, Rabbi Schneider and Katie Souza are reminding believers that God’s ancient laws still carry divine power for today—especially in the realm of deliverance and protection from deception.
“We know we’re not under the law,” he told Souza. “Jesus lived out the Law perfectly, shed His blood, died in our place and then imputed His righteousness to us. But the mistake we make as a church is thinking that because we’re not under the Law, the Law no longer has relevance.”

Rabbi Schneider emphasized that the Torah’s commandments aren’t a burden, but a revelation of God’s very nature. “The Law,” he explained, “is a self-revelation of God…the Laws of the Torah are not opposite the grace of God. The Laws of the Torah are a preliminary grace.”
That freedom, Rabbi Schneider explained, includes deliverance from demonic influence. “When the Lord forbids witchcraft, sorcery and divination…it’s a source of protection,” he said.
He warned that many believers unknowingly invite spiritual darkness into their lives through entertainment, trauma or even relationships. “How many believers are tormented by spirits because they enjoy watching movies that produce fear?” he asked.
Souza agreed, noting, “Even this one Law—the prohibition against witchcraft—will stop people from falling into the pit the enemy dug for them,” she said.

In this hour of heightened spiritual warfare, believers can no longer afford to blur the lines between what is holy and what is profane. The world is overflowing with counterfeit light—forms of spirituality that promise power but lead only to bondage. God’s laws were never meant to restrain His people; they were given to protect and empower them to walk in purity, discernment and freedom.
