The roots of witchcraft run deep and ancient. They go back to the rites and rituals of ancient paganism. Now that we’ve seen witch curses come back to the forefront with the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the question may be asked: Is there something more to witchcraft operating in the modern world?

In Scripture, the word used by Jehu for witchcraft is the Hebrew “kashaf,” which refers to the casting of spells and incantations. Such things were typical of ancient pagan worship, as practiced by Jezebel, along with sympathetic magic, fortune-telling, and the invoking of spirits. The rites and rituals of ancient pagan worship have survived into the modern world under the heading of witchcraft.

One would not expect witches to be an issue in a modern American presidency. But witches played a part in the ancient template. So is it possible that the mystery of Jehu would ordain that the rise of the American Jehu would be accompanied by the work of witches?

Under the Crescent Moon

The answer is, strangely, yes. As Jehu and the witches of the land stood as enemies on opposite sides of the ancient culture war, so the American Jehu, in his rise to the presidency, was warred against not only by political and cultural enemies—but by witches. It was a sign of the times. As America fell away from God, it fell increasingly to the dark side. And as it became empty of the things of the Spirit, it opened itself to spirits of another kind. The number of witches in America exploded, surpassing even the number of Presbyterians.

So as the witches of Jehu’s time would have seen in him their enemy, so the witches of America and around the world saw Trump as their enemy. They decided to launch a campaign against him, a witches’ campaign. They gathered across America and the world under the crescent moon to cast their spells, incantations, and curses against Donald Trump and his presidency.

Return of the Witches

This was noted and chronicled in Trump’s first ascent to the White House. Could then the return of the modern Jehu invoke the return of the witches? It could and it did. As Trump waged his campaign to return
to the presidency, witches throughout America and the world again gathered together under the crescent moon to cast their spells against him. And again strange headlines appeared in the media:

Can Witches Defeat Donald Trump? They’re Trying

Their convocations included tarot cards and orange candles as well as Trump’s image. The latter was used in rituals of sympathetic magic in which his image would be burned or otherwise destroyed. Meanwhile, the participants would chant in unison the words “You’re fired!”

Witches for Kamala

As the witches of the land were overwhelmingly against Donald Trump’s campaign, they were noticeably in favor of another. A number of journalists noted that the rise of Kamala Harris as Trump’s political opponent had reenergized the witches of America to again cast their spells and curses. The words “Witches for Harris” and “Witches for Kamala” began appearing on signs, websites, and bumper stickers.

Jezebel the Witch

But Jehu’s war against witchcraft had a focal point: Jezebel. To charge her with promulgating witchcraft was to call her a witch. So is it possible that the American counterpart to Jezebel, the first opponent of the American Jehu, Hillary Clinton, could herself be accused of that which Jehu accused Jezebel of? It is and she was.

As strange as the war of the witches waged against Donald Trump is the fact that his first major opponent, the one who fulfilled the prototype of Jezebel, was herself accused of being a witch. Some pointed to her laugh, which mimicked a witch’s cackle. Others pointed to her consultations and channeling sessions with New Age mystics and those who believed in spirits and, specifically, goddesses.
