Many believers today dismiss demonic activity as a relic of the past. But spiritual leaders Jonathan Cahn and Isaiah Saldivar are warning that the same dark forces seen in Scripture are still operating behind the scenes, influencing culture and nations.
“Where did all the demons go?” Saldivar asked. “They were around in the days of Jesus, the disciples and the early church. They haven’t disappeared simply because we live in a technologically advanced age. It’s the same demons, just different days.”

This perspective challenges the idea that world events are random or coincidental. Instead, it suggests there are spiritual realities shaping history that line up with biblical prophecy.
One of the most striking examples of biblical prophecy unfolding today that Jonathan Cahn shared in his interview with Saldivar is tied to Donald Trump. Trump was born on a Friday evening, which ushers in the biblical Sabbath. On every Sabbath, there is a Scripture appointed to be read, and the passage linked to the day of his birth speaks of bringing forth a trumpet—an instrument used to announce, to awaken, and to disrupt. “A trumpet doesn’t need to know what it’s doing,” Cahn noted. “It’s simply used for a purpose.” That imagery has resonated deeply with those who see Trump’s rise as part of a larger prophetic pattern.
Even the timing of his presidency aligns with biblical cycles. In Israel’s history, the Jubilee year marked restoration and freedom. The last major Jubilee tied to Israel was in 1967, when Jerusalem was restored to the Jewish people. Counting fifty years brings us to 2017—the year Trump was inaugurated and made the historic Jerusalem declaration, recognizing the city as Israel’s capital.

These prophetic patterns, however, are not shared to glorify a political figure but to awaken the church. The ultimate message is a call to revival. “Changing laws or governments isn’t enough,” Cahn urged. “If hearts remain unchanged, the culture will drift back into darkness. The only hope for America and the world is revival.”
Right now, we have a window of opportunity for awakening, and if God moves among His people, the ripple effect could impact the entire world.
