“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God” (1 John 5:4-5, NIV).
Guess what, friend? Everyone born of God overcomes the world. If you are born of God, the world does not rule you.
If you are born of God, you are a conqueror of the world. You are the one with dominion and authority over it. If you are born of God, you are a free person, and the world does not control you anymore!
We are hyper-conquerors through Christ, preeminently superior above whatever the world can throw at us. Therefore you can declare: “My faith will never be destroyed. My hope will never diminish, and my love for God will never fade away.”
So many believers live like the world is over them. The world and every situation and circumstance rules over them and dominates what their life looks like. Is that you? Then it’s time to get the faith and the fight in you to start living like one born of God.
Are they laying off at your workplace? You begin to declare that you’re not going to be conquered by any economic crisis. The Lord is your provider.
Have you received a bad report about your health or a loved one? Overcome and gain the victory with faith in the Word of God. You may have a battle on your hands, but ultimately the victory is yours as a believer in God.
This is part of your birthright, and this is how you live by faith. You don’t have to let every crisis ruin you. Begin to believe, and begin to fight! It’s time to act like you’re born of God. We say how it goes, not the political system or the economic system or sickness or disease.
If you’re living in hopelessness and despair, then stir your faith. Love God and believe in Jesus. You are a hyper-conqueror in Him! You can overcome!
A prayer of faith: God, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I step into the authority that belongs to me as a believer, and I declare that in Him, I can overcome every situation I may face. Strengthen me now, and help me use Your Word and my faith to achieve victory. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen!
