Third Day lead singer Mac Powell says people’s “prayers and well wishes are being felt” as his wife, Aimee, begins to heal after a hospital emergency.
Powell posted the news on Saturday that he rushed his wife to the hospital when she began complaining about severe pain in her head. Doctors found bleeding in her brain and immediately began to operate.
Now, for the first time since her surgery, Powell says, Aimee is able to sit up and eat a few bits of food.
“Positive progress today,” Powell wrote yesterday. “The morning started out better than yesterday. The pain had subsided a bit, but it’s up and down.
“… We are thankful for friends that have helped take the little ones to and from school and for meals and provisions that people have brought. Keep praying- we’re still not out of the woods. But it feels like we’re taking a step towards the exit. #pray4aimee.”
In his post, Powell included two photos of Aimee smiling. See the full post below:
Just a day earlier, Powell shared a touching photo of his daughter, Camie Love Powell, snuggling with her mom on the hospital bed.
“Sometimes a picture CAN tell a thousand words,” Mac Powell wrote. “This sweet moment just happened tonight. Not sure whose idea it was but I’m glad it happened. Our sweet @camielovep comes down every night to snuggle with me and Aimee on the couch and she wasn’t going to let a trip to the intensive care unit stop her tonight.”
