At the start of Black History Month, this video from Pastor Matt Chandler echoes timely words of encouragement for believers, especially in light of the racial reconciliation efforts that have happened over the last year.

“Let’s grow together as a family,” he proclaims. And that family, he clarifies, has roots in faith communities not typically found in the history books. It’s time to set the record straight, Chandler believes. “So our roots as Christians and our roots as America and the things that we would celebrate, a lot of this has been built by those who are African American or African descent.”

As America celebrates the heritage of our Black brothers and sisters, let believers be the first step toward continued reconciliation. Watch the full video now.
