WATCH: Trump Declares Coronavirus a National Emergency

President Donald Trump declared the U.S. to be in a state of national emergency because of the coronavirus Friday, March 13.

By doing so, he enabled the federal government to provide additional resources to fight the spread of COVID-19, including providing hundreds of thousands of testing kits.
