Speaking at Elevation church, multiple Dove Award-winning worship artist Kari Jobe explained the writing of “The Blessing,” which just released this year. It’s based on Numbers 6:24-26.
“We got together with Pastor Chris and Pastor Steven on Thursday to just go in after the presence of God and try to pen lyric and melody, and after a couple of hours, it just felt like the presence of God stopped everything and we wrote a song called ‘The Blessing,'” Jobe says. “It’s straight from Scripture. It’s the heart of the Father over us as His kids.”
