The Holy Ghost is not who some people believe He is and is much more than simply a comforter. My great grandfather, Elijah Muhammad, taught my family and the Nation of Islam members myths and lies about Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son, and the three comprise the Trinity. God has created us in his image: body, soul and spirit.
He is the reason we have power to live for Christ, and He is the spirit of truth. Jesus told us that it was expedient that He go to the Father. The Godhead knew how important it was for Jesus to die on the cross so that he could release His Spirit and all of us could have the opportunity to be born again.
Through the power of the Holy Ghost, we are promised that he will lead and guide us into all truth and show us things to come. We are living in an unprecedented time where we need to know what is to come.
The Holy Ghost is not a poltergeist; He is the answer to how we will overcome evil with good.
Even as Amanda Gorman reminded us on inauguration day, “We close the divide because we know to put our future first, we must first put differences aside.”
We must close this gap first in the church if we ever want unbelievers to know who the Holy Spirit really is.
