Do you realize that all of the promises of God are “yes” in Jesus Christ? They’re yes and amen, even when times are tough.
That means His promise to do miracles, including healing, is available to us even in the midst of a pandemic. In fact, right now His healing power is more important than ever.
The power of God to heal and do the miraculous is present whenever and wherever faith can be found. That’s the full gospel that we are called to share with the world—preaching, teaching and bringing the healing power of God into people’s lives. And this gospel is going forth even now.
Miracles are happening … even now … even in the midst of what is happening in today’s world. No matter how our circumstances may appear, our Lord Jesus is a healing Jesus! We must never stop talking about His power and desire to heal and bring about miracles for those who trust in Him.
Recently, I talked about God’s miracle working power with Bishop LaDonna Osborn. She’s the daughter of T.L. and Daisy Osborn, who ministered in healing evangelistic meetings in more than 70 nations. And LaDonna often traveled with them. These days, she is in charge of Osborn Ministry International, oversees a fellowship of over a thousand churches in nearly 60 nations and knows how important it is to talk—and keep talking—about God’s miracle-working power.
“The ministry of God through Jesus is a healing ministry,” LaDonna said. “Healing the sick is indicative of Him healing and restoring our world, our humanity. He is the restorer. And we allow Him to demonstrate that at every opportunity. We’re not going to stop talking about miracles.”
I believe that talking about the saving, healing, delivering, miracle-working power of God is so important. It’s something we must keep doing, no matter what is happening in the world around us, because talking about God’s promises builds our faith. And that is what brings about miracles. The miraculous comes about as we reach out to God in faith, having an expectation that He will move on our behalf.
God wants to heal people! And He is no respecter of persons. If you have faith, He can respond to your faith, no matter where you are and what you are facing. That’s something I have seen so many times in my healing crusades, and it is something LaDonna saw firsthand on the mission field with her parents.
“God would touch the most ordinary people, people who had no value in their culture even. They had been cast aside by their families, by their society, but God never forgets people,” said LaDonna, remembering how God would cause cripples to walk and the blind to see during her parents’ ministry work.
“If that doesn’t make you love the Lord Jesus and want to engage with Him in helping people, I don’t know what does. God is faithful. Jesus is alive. He is the healer. He has not changed. And he is there to heal every hurt.”
That’s so exciting to me. Even now, the gospel has opportunities to go forth through TV, radio and the internet. The pandemic has not stopped God from being a healer. His power is still present to do miracles, if we will reach out in faith, expecting the miracles we need.
