God and Donald Trump author Stephen Strang appeared on CNN over Easter weekend to discuss why evangelicals continue to support Donald Trump even after news of his moral failings hit headlines.
“We know from the reading of Scripture that God has always used imperfect people from King David to the apostle Paul,” Strang says. “And so we believe that God has raised up this unlikely person who is championing Christian values in a way that no other president has. Also, [he is] defending persecuted Christians, which churches all over the country today are publicizing the plight of persecuted Christians.”
