Are you struggling because of the effects of COVID or other life-altering circumstance? Listen to Dawn’s story, and learn how worship is more than just singing.
Dawn Mason went through one of the most difficult times in her life when her late husband was slowly dying due to Lou Gehrig’s disease. Her emotions were like riding a roller coaster, but his were stable and fixed. She watched him continue to worship the Lord with his whole heart and life, even when the ability to speak and do things was gone. Dawn shared that she had a choice to make, she could be upset and look at the negative, or she could learn to worship the Lord through it. “I chose to trust the Lord,” Dawn proclaimed. At his memorial, 33 people surrendered their hearts to the Lord.
Even though this trial altered the trajectory of her life, it was one of the most beautiful times she has ever walked through. “Why would I not worship the Lord when His presence was overwhelming?” Dawn informed Dr. Lemley as she recalled the experience. She shifted her perspective, which impacted what she believed and how she responded. Such a powerful exchange from ashes to beauty! Listen to this episode of Living in the Light with Dr. Kristi Lemley on Charisma Podcast Network, called The Power in a Life of Worship, to hear how the Lord directed her.
The Lord met her in those dark times and His presence enveloped her. “When we give everything back to the Lord, then He produces something within us.” Dawn shared, “He has a plan for all of us. We have to give the pen to Him and allow Him to write our story.” God has a plan for you today. Will you hand over the writing device and permit the Lord to direct your steps? You will accomplish this through living a life of worship.
Be encouraged to rise up and be strengthened! {eoa}
