Why You Should Never Say Never to the Almighty

“I went to the Lord, as He asked me to, on my knees before Him, with open hands and an open heart, to hear His will” —Dawn Stanford.

What’s the fastest way to get what you don’t want? Tell the Lord, “I will never ______.”

Yep, just ask any other Christ-follower who’s made the mistake of saying something like that. You will end up being exactly where you said you would never be or doing something you said you would never do.

Our thoughts are not God’s thoughts, and His ways are not our ways. We don’t have the big picture or the big plan, but God does. So how about you? Are you saying “no” or “never” to something you should be praying about, or going to the Lord with open hands and an open heart, saying, “Your will be done”?

We’re challenging you to remove the word “never” from your vocabulary and to replace it with Scripture, such as Matthew 6:33, which says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you.”
