How You Can Walk in God’s Promises as Part of His Restraining Force

The Threats

Perhaps you have also been receiving countless accounts of true narratives, false narratives, speculative narratives—conspiracies and conspiracy theories abound! Dark alliances with their dark agendas are posturing for world domination. There are the socialists, the deep state, the globalists, Islam, China, Rome, the European Union, India’s Hindu government, Tibetan Buddhism and other practitioners of witchcraft and evil arts; they are all colluding with the master conspirator himself—the forever loser! He has fed evil plots, plans and schemes to each of these groups and probably many others, hoping to be able to push as many of them as he can into positions of authority and overthrow the restraints of the Word of God on the earth.

They are doing and pushing all the things that the Word of God declares will bring a curse on the land (shedding of innocent blood, sexual perversion, witchcraft, idolatry and breaking of covenants) so His covenant blessings can be withheld and they can bring destruction and domination. But just because they have detailed agendas and they are “breathing out threatenings” doesn’t mean that they will actually be able to accomplish their intrigues.

It’s well-illustrated in Psalm 2. These are all raging against the Lord and His Anointed One with their empty imaginations of being able to overthrow the King of the universe. And “He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision [and in supreme contempt He mocks them]” (P. 2:4b, AMPC). Let’s laugh with Him!

Let’s get the bigger picture of the original conspirator. Revelation 12 beginning with verse seven describes war breaking out in the heavenlies; Michael and his angels go to battle with the dragon and his angels. “But they did not prevail, nor was there a place for them in heaven any longer” (Rev. 12:8, MEV). Verse nine clearly names this forever loser: “The great dragon was cast out, that ancient serpent called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. He was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.” And verse 10 indicates that he is “the accuser of our brethren.”

Jesus referred to him in John 8:44 (BSB) as “the devil … a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a liar and the father of lies.” And in John 10:10, He calls him, “The thief [who] comes only to steal and kill and destroy.”

But we see great joy in heaven in Revelation 12:10-11 (AMPC) when a strong voice in heaven, says, “Now it has come–the salvation and the power and the kingdom (the dominion, the reign) of our God, and the power (the sovereignty, the authority) of His Christ (the Messiah); for the accuser of our brethren, he who keeps bringing before our God charges against them day and night, has been cast out! And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing].”

Beloved, do you remember a few years ago when President Barack Obama sent our warships into the Mediterranean due to the upheavals in Syria? Everyone was talking about World War III. God spoke to Patricia King, “I want you to stop World War III.” So she called out the intercessors, and they prayed and stood in the gap, bringing their legislative authority to bear over the schemes of the forever loser. And World War III didn’t happen, even though it was prophesied by Albert Pike, someone in the upper echelons of Freemasonry, and it was echoed in that season by the news media and their co-conspirators.

At that time, Patricia King gave us an important teaching that we as prophetic believers are very tuned in to the spirit realm, but not everything we hear is from the Lord. She warned us that we must use caution not to repeat the devil’s agenda because our voice as believers has authority, and if we speak his evil agenda, it gives him authority to bring it to pass. This is again a critical time to align our hearts, minds and mouths to the Word of God, speaking His overcoming, super-conquering agenda, because the earth belongs to Him!

Don’t be moved to fear, causing you to repeat the forever loser’s threats. He cannot accomplish them in his timing as long as we withstand him with the Word of God. He’s busy trying to push God’s time clock ahead of schedule to his advantage. Don’t participate in helping him succeed! These evil agendas are being exposed to us to intercede. Seeing or hearing them should cause us to rise up and declare, “Not on our watch!” and then bring them down with Scripture under the anointing of the Holy Spirit! This is not to be done presumptuously, but in humility, first repenting on behalf of any sin/iniquity that has given any legal right to the devil. Then wash the situation with the Blood of Jesus, blot out the transgressions and speak the restoration of the blessing that God promises for obedience. Call His righteousness to bear over our land as intercessors. He is faithful to be merciful and forgive. Then we can resist the devil, and he will certainly flee.

Our founder, Gwen Shaw, was very keen to keep on the cutting edge of end-times events. Many of the things she foresaw prophetically in the 1970s have happened, are happening or are threatening to happen now. At one point, the Lord spoke to her and said, “You can watch that door for the coming of the Antichrist, or you can watch this door for My coming.” Of course, she sharpened her focus on the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and so must we!

Fear of Death

Remember that the first sin in the Garden of Eden had a curse of death on it, and Romans 6:23a (MEV) echoes that “the wages of sin is death.” We remember that we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. The memory of that sin and the shame that came with it are continually thrown back at us by the accuser who is trying to keep us out of the inheritance that God has planned for us. That sin produces death in some form, often manifesting in sickness, or opening an opportunity for accidents and injuries. We are constantly being pursued by fear of death due to our past—until we get the revelation that Jesus paid the whole price for salvation, healing and restoration. But until we get that revelation, the writer of Hebrews says that “through fear of death [we] were all [our] lifetime subject to bondage” (Heb. 2:15, NKJV). As long as we entertain the fear of death, we will never fully accomplish our assignment in the earth! But verse 14b holds the key to our deliverance: Jesus “through death … [would] destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.”

Don’t allow yourself to speak in terms of fear of a virus that has caused the death of many people. Speak in terms of the abundant life that Jesus came to give us! He loved us and made us more than conquerors. And if we pass from this life into eternal life, we also win!

Jesus compassionately warned the persecuted church of Smyrna in Revelation 2:10 (AMPC), “Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. [Dismiss your dread and your fears!] Behold, the devil is indeed about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested and proved and critically appraised, and for ten days you will have affliction. Be loyally faithful unto death [even if you must die for it], and I will give you the crown of life.”

Don’t think we are getting out of tribulation. Jesus promised it to us in John 16:33: “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.” But we are not appointed to wrath (1 Thess. 5:9), and Jesus also told his disciples to watch and pray that they might be found worthy to escape all of these things (Luke 21:36). We have to rightly divide the Word of truth.

The Promises

The preparation for the Rapture and the preparation for the Tribulation are the same: dwell/abide in the secret place of the Most High/the Vine and walk with Him, being led by the Holy Spirit who reveals His Word. Through His promises we can share in and partake of the divine nature. The Amplified Classic version of 2 Peter 1:3-7 explains it so well!

For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature. For this very reason, adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.

Let us walk in these abundant promises of the Lord. In doing so, we will participate in being a restraining force of light against darkness, overcoming evil with good and thwarting the plots, plans and schemes of the forever loser until we be taken out of the way (2 Thess. 2:7).
