Do you believe that God promises you victory in every circumstance? Many of us doubt this promise.
Oftentimes, the circumstances in our lives speak against the covenant promises of God. The words that set themselves up against the knowledge of God begin to influence our minds, wills and emotions. We can unknowingly come into agreement with them, trading God’s promises for a lie.
Therefore, we must align ourselves with the Word—believe it, pray it and speak it. Activating God’s covenant promises in this way will lead us to victory.
But where do we start?
The first step to overcoming battles in your circumstances is to know that God’s covenant promises are not conditional.
God’s Covenant Promises to Overcome Are Not Conditional
What does, “God’s covenant promises to overcome are not conditional” mean? It means that no matter our circumstances—full of joy, or full of pain—God’s promises remain. They do not change. He is a consistent, good and perfect Father who keeps His Word.
1. Make a list of the covenant promises that God gives. These could be promises such as:
“Meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Josh. 1:8b, NKJV).
“The Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God” (Deut. 28:13a).
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isa. 54:17a).
2. Remember that God’s covenant promises are given to you through Yeshua. You are a new creation. Understand the power of the blood and that His promises are not dependent on your circumstances.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new” (2 Cor. 5:17).
3. Be aware of the spiritual battle. The enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy. He does this by using people, places and circumstances to frustrate you. Rather than looking for who or what to blame, remember that you are not at war with flesh and blood but the dark powers of the world.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12).

“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body” (2 Cor. 4:8-10).
