Many of you are experiencing serious spiritual problems. You’ve seen illness, abuse, addiction, divorce and sexual sin run rampant through your family line. You’ve witnessed families and communities split. These spiritual problems call for serious spiritual warfare.
It is time to rise up and proclaim:
“I am born again. I am a king and a priest, according to the order of Melchizedek. I have legal spiritual rights to cancel the curse and bring blessing into my family for a thousand generations! I have all of this because the blood of Yeshua has covered me and washed me. In Him, I am a new creation who will not be held by any curse or vex. I repent for my iniquities and the iniquities for my fathers. In Yeshua’s Name—amen, and amen!”
Do You Have a Spiritual Warfare Room?
A spiritual warfare room is a private place you can go to do serious spiritual warfare. It is a place to:
— Come before the Lord.
— Ask the Spirit of God to reveal to you areas that need to be cleansed and aligned.
— Petition for the Holy Spirit’s empowerment.
— Remind you of God’s promises as you put Him into remembrance of His Word.
— Make declarations in the courts of heaven.
Do you have to have a spiritual warfare room? No.
However, if you are like many, establishing such a place in your home creates a sense of comfort, a safe haven where you meet with the Lord expecting His direction as you join and seek Him in intentional prayer.
Something I’ve Come to Understand in Spiritual Warfare
In over 30 years of ministry, I’ve discovered that there are mountain-moving prayers the Lord wants us to pray in order for our lives, our families and our communities to become aligned with Him.
They are prayers of unity, togetherness and supernatural power that are released when we understand we are a new creation—a “one new man”—in Christ and pray in accordance with this truth and promises.
There is something that happens in the atmosphere when we pray in accordance with His Word and for unity as the one new man in Christ (see Eph. 2:15). A shift takes place in the heavenly realm.
Jesus said:
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:12-14, NKJV).
And in Matthew 18:19-20, He also said: “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Spiritual Warfare That Aligns You and Releases Favor
According to Jesus—Yeshua—what we pray needs to be aligned with God’s will and glorify the Father. Further, when we gather as two or three, He is there. And His Spirit will guide our prayers.
So how do we know what God’s will is? It is written in His Word:
— Give thanks in everything (1 Thess. 5:16-18).
— Pray for those in authority (in our homes, in our communities and in our nations) and lead a peaceful life (1 Tim. 2:1-3).
— Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel’s restoration (Ps. 122:6).
If You Want Answered Prayers
— Start with humble repentance. King David wrote Psalm 51:10, a foundational prayer of repentance:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Yeshua also taught this principle when praying:
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors” (Matt. 6:12).
This positions us to agree with God’s Word, that our flesh needs cleansing. And when we repent, forgiveness is recorded in the heavenly courts. The blood of Yeshua was poured out so that the Father’s will and victory will be manifested on earth.
Unforgiveness creates roadblocks in our breakthroughs. Tear down any roadblock with a prayer of repentance, proclaiming the power of the blood.
— Pray God’s will and thank Him for keeping His promises. Remember the dominion you have in Yeshua.
Luke 10:19 records His words: “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Find scriptures and passages to proclaim that speak life into your situation. The power of life and death is in the tongue. When you speak God’s truth over your situation, angels are released to do His will.
“Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (Heb. 1:14).
God’s Word does not return void (see Isa. 55:11). If you are praying God’s promises, you can be certain those words will be fulfilled.
— Pray for unity in the body of Christ, and pray for Israel’s restoration. Nothing delights the enemy more than when he can cause division. Maybe he is causing division among your family, friends or community. Wherever there is division, you can be sure the enemy is behind it.
“But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there” (James 3:14-16).
When we come together as one new man—as Jew and Gentile believers—in Christ, it releases a sweetness into the heavenly realm and covers us with the Spirit’s anointing (Ps. 133:1-2). The Lord smiles down upon us and sees His divine plan in action.
“For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ” (1 Cor. 12:12).
“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” (2 Cor. 4:13).
Furthermore, when believers come together and pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel’s restoration, we can be certain of this fulfillment (Ezek. 39, Zeph. 3:9-20, Rom.11). As we pray spiritual warfare prayers, we are praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is written and recorded in the heavenly courts.
Let us begin to pray spiritual warfare prayers that move mountains and find victory. In Yeshua’s Name! {eoa}
