Rapper Dee-1 released a song called “No Pictures of Jesus.” His lyrics convey the message that it doesn’t matter what color Jesus is; we need to follow Him for His character. The musician says in some of his lyrics that his preacher growing up told him God was black, and that was a fact. He also talks about scandals of preachers he saw as a kid.
“I don’t care if Jesus is white or if He’s black/ All I know is Jesus is real, and He’s coming back.”
