When revival graced Celebration Church in Akron, Ohio, in 2018, the church was transformed. Pastor Zach Prosser stated in a recent interview on Living in the Light on the Charisma Podcast Network, “It was like the wind of the Holy Spirit blew through the sanctuary, and I do not remember what happened after that. I ended up on my back behind the pulpit for two to three hours. I was carried out of the building and helped into my home and could not function for multiple days. I have not been the same since.”
The Spirit with His power is connected to purpose. God has more for each one of us than we can dare to dream, think or imagine (Eph. 3:20). However, we must cease analyzing and just receive. At times, we try to figure things out, like what we are to do or how to make revival happen. These do not require faith but our own abilities. Fear prevents us from taking the first step and limits our faith. Pastor Prosser shares that faith should illuminate our knowledge and not the other way around. We receive faith-eyes and ears which shape our logic, which in turn allows us to have the mind of Christ. Then we will receive all that He has planned for us.
God is looking to show Himself strong on our behalf. When we encounter the Lord, He speaks direction and changes us. We can know with certainty that God can and wants to direct us. There are times when revival is messy, but Pastor Prosser reminds us that the need to control prevents us from embracing all that God has prepared. Wisdom is vital and necessary. The book of James reminds us that we can ask for wisdom and the Lord will willingly give it (James 1:5). When his church was praying for wisdom and direction, Pastor Prosser states, “Tangible evidence walked into the room, and His name was Jesus. And He changed everything.”
