Seer, prophet and healer Ana Werner tells of a time, at 17 years old when she went to the Panama islands to minister with a mission team. Suddenly a storm arose with 10-foot waves. In the midst of it, she felt she might die. But God’s voice broke in and she heard Him say, “I’ve got you.” Those words set a course for her life of unvarying trust in a mighty God who is able.
From that mission trip, a life of increase in ministry and a life filled with fruit has flowed from Werner and her husband, Sam. Werner moves in healing and deliverance, bringing freedom to many people in churches and arenas. Her desire is to see people move from affliction to freedom to joy. As she tells of her own experiences on a recent episode of Rooted By the Stream on the Charisma Podcast Network, she shares how the Holy Spirit, the power of God and the love of God entered the room, the atmosphere shifted and people encountered all these realities for themselves.
In this era of unbelief, fear of disease and other calamities, and with enmity between people increasing, we need the healing power of God as much or more than we have ever needed it.
A “billion-soul harvest” was prophesied by Bob Jones, and others feel we’re on the edge of this harvest. Some even believe it has begun. But for such prodigious numbers to be evangelized, workers in the harvest field need to be raised up. Werner’s heart is set on training and releasing “miracle workers into the field.”
She says, “Nothing preaches the gospel better to a hurting world, than operating in [Jesus Christ’s] miracles and healing power.” This is absolutely true. We need a renaissance of the healing ministry everywhere.
Think how many people would turn to Jesus if, just as in His day, they saw a miracle right before their eyes or experienced healing themselves. It is incumbent on the Christian church to lead its people into a full embrace of all that Jesus paid for us to have on the cross, both forgiveness and healing, and to touch a hurting world with it.
As the angel of the Lord once instructed the apostles to do, we must do the same. “Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life” (Acts 5:20).
