And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies. —Exodus 12:51
God delivered the children of Israel with a strong right hand. They were on their way to the Promised Land when Moses came to them with a Word from the Lord: “We’re camping by Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; over against Baal-zephon, with mountains on either side; the sea in front of us and the pursuing armies of the Egyptians behind us” (cf. Exodus 14:2). The Israelites must have felt like cheese in a mouse trap when they arrived at the Red Sea.
Just because you obey the Lord does not mean you will not experience trouble in your life. God will never create a lifestyle for you that makes Him unnecessary. He may take you through some things to bring you to the place He ordained for you to be, but just when it seems you are trapped with no way out, God will exercise His mighty right hand of deliverance. His power is sufficient to carry you through to the other side.
Lord God, You are necessary for my life. You are necessary
for my family. You are necessary for my work. You are necessary
for my church. You are necessary for everyone in my town.
Help me share with them how You are necessary for every good
thing in life and eternity. Amen.
