And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. —John 17:26, NKJV

At the end of Christ’s prophetic prayer in John 17, Jesus gave us a glimpse of the powerful and passionate church He would build. His focus changes from the first generation of Christians to the church throughout history. He intercedes for believers who will come to know Him after His death. We find prophetic promises for the church in this prayer.

{ PRAYER STARTER }

Lord, I am Your church, Your sanctuary, and I want Your presence to overflow my life so that others may see Your great love for me—and for them.

How magnificent it is to see the Son of God
praying for the church, His beloved bride,
one last time while He is still
clothed in human flesh.
