Britt Nicole entered the Christian music scene just three years ago, and she’s already had success.
Her first album, Say It, produced three top 10 radio singles and her sophomore project, The Lost Get Found, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and went straight to No. 1 on the iTunes Christian/Gospel Top Albums chart.
The release of her special acoustic album, which features five of her most popular tracks and a new song, has been a bit hit with her fans.
“Hanging On” is a follow-up to her single “Walk on the Water,” which is also included on the acoustic release. “Walk on the Water” went to No. 1 on CHR and has even been heard on NBC’s The Biggest Loser. The song deals with questions that every believer can have from time to time: “What if I’m overtaken? What if I never make it? What if no one’s there? Will you hear my prayer?” Nicole’s soothing voice urges us to not be afraid: “Your faith is all it takes and you can walk on the water too.”
Similarly, “Hanging On” reminds us that we must hold on to God’s voice because “when the darkness falls … Your voice is like the dawn, always there to guide me.”
