What do you do when you feel like God is leading you in circles rather than toward your calling in life? That happened to the Israelites in the wilderness after God freed them from Pharaoh.
“Why does God needlessly complicate your life?” Pastor Ben Stuart asks. “‘God, I’m trying to get there; you put that in my heart, that’s what I want. Why are you leading me here? … One of the reasons God will not lead you the most direct route to your dreams is because, frankly, you’re not ready. … God will detour your life into the desert because it’s in the heat of the desert that He forges character.”
