Pastor Duke Kwon believes the church has a responsibility to atone for the sins of our fathers and repent of racism committed in the name of God. Even if we ourselves did not commit racist sins, Kwon says—based on the Bible—believers must not merely apologize but take action to make it right. He explains, “Here’s what Scripture tells us: If our sin has injured someone, the gospel obligates us not only to grieve those wrongs inwardly but also to redress those wrongs outwardly. In other words, true repentance repairs what was ripped and returns what was ripped off.” Watch his impassioned call to action in this video.
